WRIST ULTRASOUND:
Tendinitis, De Quervaine’s Tenosynovitis, tears, ganglions and joint effusions are just a few of the findings here. The supporting cartilage and ligaments that help the function and support movement, may be compromised.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is where the median nerve is trapped/ compressed during certain actions of the wrist and hand. We analyze this during Dynamic Strain Testing. The nerve itself may be inflammed. The patient typically complains of numbness in the fingers/ hand.
HAND / FINGERS ULTRASOUND:
Tendinitis, Dupuytren’s Contracture, avulsion fragments, ligament tears, trigger finger, and various muscle conditions all fall under this category. Surgical prosthesis, seromata and inflammatory conditions can also be assessed.
