The VARICOCOELES (varicose veins) that form in the scrotum can become thrombosed (blocked) and cause severe pain.
This is a study to determine if there is venous thrombosis in the scrotal sac.
Spontaneous thrombosis of varicocele is a cause of acute pain. Adequate medical therapy is required, however if it is not responding to treatment, then varicocelectomy produces immediate pain relief, among other benefits.
