HIP JOINT ULTRASOUND: assesses hip joint height, joint effusion, distension of the joint fascia, osteoarthritis of the socket joint, trochanteric bursitis and other conditions.
The test may extend to the gluteal muscles where indicated, and to the iliac/pelvic rim.
No preparation is required for this test.
